Grid for Hungarian GP

I missed yesterday's practice sessions, but I thought I'd heard that Michael Schumacher didn't post a time because he'd blown an engine ... but no penalty today?

Aha! It was on the BBC site: "Schumacher's session ended abruptly when his engine failed". OK, it doesn't say what the problem was, so maybe it didn't need to be replaced?

So that's counted as outside of the engine then?

(I don't know - I only opened the bonnet on my cars to top up fluids!)

Yes, its outside of the engine. It's the gizmo that recharges the battery. With a failed alternator, the battery gets used up and the electrical systems fail.
